Arts Academy's Amilia Sloan shines at Global Amazing Shake competition
Amilia Sloan, a student at the Arts Academy at Bella Vista (AABV), emerged victorious in the Amazing Shake competition held in February. This achievement led her to represent her school on a larger stage, The Global Amazing Shake, held in Atlanta, Georgia from March 22-24, 2024.

Clovis Community College hosts career fair for young adults
In May, Clovis Community College served as the venue for The Clovis Hires: Young Adults (16-24) Career Fair & Hiring Event. The event attracted over 40 employers and partners from across the region. A contingent of 11th and 12th graders from local schools also attended the event.

GT Parent Advisory Committee Night: A Celebration of Student Achievement
The GT Parent Advisory Committee Night, held on April 30th, was a resounding success. The event, which saw the participation of 45 adults and 41 children, provided an opportunity for students to showcase their achievements and share their experiences in the GT program.

Clovis High School briefly implements Secure & Teach due to suspicious activity report
On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Clovis High School was temporarily placed under a Secure & Teach protocol due to reports of suspicious activity in the vicinity of the campus. Law enforcement promptly investigated these reports but did not find anything alarming. The all-clear signal was given at 12:40 p.m.

Wildcat Colorguard Team announces tryouts for the 2024-2025 school year
The Wildcat Colorguard Team has announced tryouts for the 2024-2025 school year, which will take place on May 17 and 18. The tryouts are open to incoming freshmen through to 12th-grade students. On May 17, the tryouts will be held from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, while on May 18, they will run from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

The Clovis High School Theatre Department is set to stage the play “The Day the Internet Died”. The performances are scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, May 10 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. The venue for the event is The Arts Academy at Bella Vista, located at 2900 Cesar Chavez.

High school students earn college degrees before graduation
Today is a significant day for many high school students who are receiving their college degrees even before they graduate from high school. In an extraordinary feat, these students are collectively earning 106 degrees, despite there being only 53 graduates. This achievement is the result of a group of determined students who seized an opportunity to earn multiple degrees simultaneously while still in high school.

Clovis High School golfers qualify for 2024 State Tournament
Clovis High School golfers, Jett Stone and Kylie Sprinkle, have qualified for the 2024 State Tournament. The competition is scheduled to take place this weekend. The tournament will be held on May 13 and 14 at the Twin Warriors Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo.

The Clovis Municipal Schools Board of Education, at its regular meeting on April 23, 2024, approved the proposed 2024-2029 Facilities Master Plan (FMP) and recommendations. This approval marks the beginning of a journey to correct imbalances in elementary school populations and solidify the continued progress and improvement of the District, its services, programs and facilities.

ENMU Hosts Art Camp for 3rd-12th Graders
ENMU's art camp, "Summer by Design," is fashioned for elementary, middle, and high school students (grades 3–12).
