On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Clovis High School was temporarily placed under a Secure & Teach protocol due to reports of suspicious activity in the vicinity of the campus. Law enforcement promptly investigated these reports but did not find anything alarming. The all-clear signal was given at 12:40 p.m.

Despite the brief interruption, law enforcement will maintain a presence in the area for the rest of the afternoon as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, educational instruction has resumed according to schedule.

The Secure & Teach protocol involves securing all entrances and exits while continuing with instructional activities. For more detailed information about school safety procedures, interested parties can visit https://www.clovis-schools.org/page/safety.
