Today is a significant day for many high school students who are receiving their college degrees even before they graduate from high school. In an extraordinary feat, these students are collectively earning 106 degrees, despite there being only 53 graduates. This achievement is the result of a group of determined students who seized an opportunity to earn multiple degrees simultaneously while still in high school.

These 53 students, part of the Early College High School program, will celebrate their accomplishment next Friday with their fellow Wildcats at the Clovis High School graduation ceremony. However, at 6 p.m. today, they will join their collegiate peers at the Clovis Community College Commencement Ceremony.

The benefits of this achievement are significant – half of their undergraduate work was completed free of charge, they will commence college as juniors, and could potentially become graduate students before reaching the age of 25.

This year's statistics for the Early College High School program are impressive:

- All 53 students earned a college degree

- 45 students earned more than one degree

- 37 students earned two degrees

- 8 students earned three degrees

The accomplishments of these Early College High School graduates are indeed remarkable.
