The Spring River Zoo in Roswell has reopened to the public as of December 17, following a temporary closure due to severe flooding in October. The zoo will operate during its regular hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.

The free-admission zoo, located at 1306 E. College Blvd., was significantly impacted by mid-October rainstorms that led to historic flooding across Roswell. The Spring River channel, which runs through the zoo, experienced some of the most severe flooding.

Zoo staff and city employees have worked on cleanup and repairs, allowing the animal exhibits and adjacent park areas to welcome visitors once again. However, the zoo pond remains closed for an extended period due to extensive damage from the floods.
