Clovis Municipal Schools has announced that Madalynn Casey, a student at Early College High School, has been awarded the Billy Michal Student Leadership Award. This national accolade is presented annually by The National WWII Museum and recognizes young leaders who demonstrate service, leadership, and commitment to their communities.

Madalynn was nominated by Melissa Winn, Dean of Students at Early College High School, for her exceptional dedication to leadership and community engagement. She is among 51 students selected nationwide, representing each state and the District of Columbia. These students will participate in the American Spirit Awards program in New Orleans from May 29 to June 1, 2025.

In New Orleans, Madalynn will engage in leadership activities and exclusive experiences at The National WWII Museum. This recognition highlights her contributions and reflects the values of leadership and service associated with the award.

The Billy Michal Student Leadership Award honors Billy Michal from Louisiana, who contributed to the World War II effort as a young boy. It celebrates the notion that everyone can effect positive change regardless of age.

Clovis Municipal Schools congratulates Madalynn Casey on her achievement and anticipates her continued impact in her community.
