Curry County issued the following announcement on April 1.
Broadview Volunteer Fire Department received a new "skid unit" purchased with IRB funds and in cooperation with the Village of Grady. The unit is the portion that sits on the back of the truck. It is an ultra high pressure water/foam pump designed for fire suppression efficiency with less water consumption than standard fire pumps. The unit was purchased at a cost of $35,000 and will primarily be used for wildland fire suppression.
