Clovis, NM - Over the past month, students from Clovis High School and Clovis High School Freshman Academy auditioned for the 2025 New Mexico Music Educators All-State Ensemble (NMMEA). Students were selected based on their overall scores from these auditions.

The results are as follows:

In the NMMEA All-State Concert Orchestra, Adrianna Cuebas was chosen for Piccolo, Parker Bass for Bassoon, and Genesis Wiggins for Trombone. For the NMMEA All-State Concert Band, selections included Lucia Palacios on Oboe, Katelyn Shafer and Hayden Ariaz on Bassoon, Joaquin Sanchez on Clarinet, Ethan LaCoursiere and Nathan Bjorklund on Trombone, Jose Llamas also on Trombone, Harley Ford on Tuba, and Kane Trujillo in Percussion.

The NMMEA All-State Symphonic Band includes Ivan Martinez and Jaydyn Chapman on Clarinet, Zachariah Parker on Tenor Saxophone, Quinn Culiver and Heaven Galvan on Horns, Jerimya Landin on Euphonium, with Justice Kincheloe in Percussion. For NMMEA All State Jazz 1: Nathan Bjorklund was selected again for Trombone alongside Jerimya Landon.

In the NMMEA All-State Mixed Choir category: Izaac Barela and Greg Bryant were selected as Bass 1 singers; Nathan Bjorklund as Bass 2; Isaias Cano as Tenor 1; Izabella Cordova as Soprano 1; Bella Ellis as Alto 2; Emily Gipson as Soprano 2; Claudio Hernandez also sang Bass 2 along with Julian Jimenez who took up Tenor roles at position two. Others like Elizabeth Kelly joined Soprano ones while Samantha Lee contributed similarly but different voice pitches such Saichania Rollins marked her place among sopranos level two range whilst Mario Salgado remained consistent singing Basses alongside others including Onavaya Sintas continuing this theme amongst varied soprano talents concluding those parts via Rachel Vernooy through additional Tenors lastly wrapped by Kelby Williams sharing finalization duties amid further Basses topped off only finally then left Dalton Woznick rounding things altogether ending together next Jacob Wright repeating this process once more so forth finally bringing closure complete end finished full circle done!

These students will attend the NMMEA All-State Conference and Concert in January 2025 at the University of New Mexico campus in Albuquerque.

The directors from Clovis High School and Freshman Academy are Daniel Perez, Anthony Gonzales, Juan De Leon, Dustyn Crane for Band/Jazz Band. Choir directors include Tami Martin, James Golden, and Sarah Sena. Additionally thanked were Mrs. Marsha Brandon (Retired CHS Choir Director), Mr. Wayne Anderson (Retired CHS Choir Director), Mrs. Peggy Brady (Retired CHS Assistant Choir Director), Ms. Leslie Delgado (Marshall Sixth Grade Academy Choir Director), Mrs. Lori Riggins (Gattis Middle School Choir Director), Ms. Annabelle Rangel (Highland Elementary Music Teacher).
