Clovis employees at the Curry County Events Center and Fairgrounds are preparing for the upcoming season, which includes a new manager and hosting the Curry County Fair.
“We want to look at what different events are trending within the area but also what events can we attract from outside the 150 to 200-mile radius," the new general manager of the center, Kadee Hande, told ABC 7 News.
However, most of the income that the center brings in comes from repeat events. Perhaps the most significant of those is the Curry County Fair, which turns 100 years old this year.
“We’ll be hosting concerts in here and outside will have the traditional fair events,” such as “the livestock shows, carnivals, vendors and exhibits," Hande said.
The Curry County Events Center and Fairgrounds is ten years old and brings in about $10 million in revenue yearly.
