City Ordinances

Due to recent rainfall, many properties throughout Roswell are experiencing rapid weed and grass growth. While city employees are working on mowing city-owned properties, citizens are asked to gain control of their properties that may be overgrown.

The Code Enforcement department is sending out notices to non-local owners with vacant lots, as well as local homeowners, and other property owners who are not in compliance with city ordinances. Weeds and grass more than 12 inches tall in yards and alleyways are required to be cut and disposed of properly (place in plastic bags before putting in trash containers).

The public can notify Code Enforcement (637-6280) of any specific properties they see that may need to be addressed regarding weeds. Also, any questions regarding the weed ordinances can be addressed by calling that number.

The City of Roswell thanks citizens for their assistance in keeping the community clean and looking good, while also preventing potential safety hazards, through adherence to these ordinances.
