The city of Roswell is initiating the process to update its Comprehensive Master Plan, with a public meeting scheduled for April 2. The gathering will take place at 5 p.m. at the Community Development Department offices in the Sunwest Centre.

This meeting marks the beginning of a series of public sessions aimed at gathering citizen input over the next year. The objective is to develop a revised master plan that reflects the community's vision for Roswell's future.

Able City, a firm specializing in community planning and economic development, has been contracted by Roswell to oversee this process. The firm's project team will be introduced at the meeting, where they will also collect initial feedback from attendees on improving and advancing the city. Additionally, they will outline the development process for the updated plan and discuss its impact on residents.

The last update to Roswell's master plan was in 2016. The new plan is expected to cover various topics including land use, growth management, economic development, housing, parks and recreation, transportation, utility infrastructure, social issues, and code enforcement.

A local steering committee representing different aspects of the community will collaborate with Able City throughout this initiative.

For further details on Roswell's Comprehensive Master Plan update project, interested parties can contact Victoria Chavez, Senior Planner at Able City, via email at victoria@able.city or by phone at 915-201-5524.
