City residents in Roswell will have the opportunity to dispose of unwanted electronics and household goods free of charge during the "Taking Out the Trash" event scheduled for April. The City of Roswell Solid Waste Department, with assistance from Keep Roswell Beautiful, is organizing this initiative over three Saturdays.
The collection schedule includes:
- April 5, from 7 a.m. to noon at DeBremond Stadium, located at 210 W. 10th St.
- April 19, from 7 a.m. to noon at RIAC Park, situated at 28 Earl Cummings Loop
- April 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roswell Municipal Landfill on 3006 W. Brasher Road
Residents can dispose of electronic items such as computer monitors and towers, printers, microwaves, toasters, TVs, VCRs, and radios. Household goods including bed frames, mattresses, home or office furniture, tables and chairs are also accepted.
However, certain items will not be accepted during this event: tires, shingles, construction materials, asbestos, liquids and batteries are excluded. Large appliances will only be accepted on April 26 at the landfill location.
