Daniel Perez, a seasoned music educator, has been appointed as the Head Band Director at Clovis High School, marking a significant milestone in the school's music program.

Perez, who previously served as the Director of Bands for Moriarty high and middle schools and Edgewood Middle School, is returning to Clovis Municipal Schools with a proven track record of success and program development. According to the announcement, Perez has a history of "award-winning successes and stellar program development."

The rich history of the Clovis Municipal Schools' music and band programs, spanning nearly a century, has provided countless students with the opportunity to receive exceptional instruction and participate in outstanding performances. This legacy serves as a solid foundation for Perez as he takes on his new role.

Perez will be taking over the position at the end of the school year, following the retirement of William “Bill” Allred, a renowned figure who led the marching band to an impressive 15 state championships. Allred's contributions have played a significant role in solidifying the district's reputation for excellence in music programs.

In light of his appointment, the Clovis High School community extends a warm welcome back to Daniel Perez and congratulates him on his new role as the Head Band Director.
