Representing Clovis Municipal Schools as the 2024 District Spanish Spelling Bee champion, 4th grader Luis Villamil Romo recently competed in the 2024 New Mexico Spanish Spelling Bee in Albuquerque.
Luis, a super speller from La Casita Elementary School, out-spelled more than half of his competition from schools around the state, working his way to the top of the field before he was ultimately eliminated.
