From March 8, 2023 post.
In March 2023, the City of Roswell will begin using a new style meter can (part of water meters) that includes a backflow-prevention device. This will be used on all new service connections and existing services whenever possible. On existing services, we will ask permission to inspect and insure you have an expansion tank on your water heater prior to installation. If an existing service is not compatible with the new style meter can or we cannot contact the property occupant, another style meter can will be used. There will be no cost to our customers for this change.
