Tonight, Feb. 9, the City Council recognized two very special citizens of Roswell.
First, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award was presented to Maliyah Juarez by Councilwoman Juliana Halvorson and Mayor Tim Jennings for her dedication and volunteerism she has done for the community.
Additionally, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) member Steve Henderson, Region Chairman Gary Smith and member Marlin Wells awarded the Patriot Award to Chief Phil Smith of the Roswell Police Department who was nominated by Deputy Chief Alberto Aldana. Chief Smith’s service to his team and community is greatly appreciated.
