Hurricane That Struck Mexico

A stretch of raw days are on tap thanks to a moist cold front and a slow moving low pressure system in the region. Rainfall amounts through Saturday will range between three quarters of an inch to an inch and a half with localized amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible

The NWS is highlighting a weather system that has worked its way into the state, and has potential to bring some heavy rains thru Saturday.

Roswell is listed with a 70% today then backing off a bit into the 40% and then back up by the weekend.

This moisture plume is coming up from the pacific, and is remenints of a recent hurricane that struck Mexico, sending moisture north.

We do not expect local rain totals to be as high as we have seen this year, but we could se some local flash flooding.

Use this forecast to try and plan the rest of your week, especially with the fair being in town.
