RPD has been made aware of letters a citizen received purporting to be from a vehicle-warranty service, but may be a scam. The unsolicited letters identify the year, make and model of the person's vehicle and ask for them to provide the vehicle's VIN by calling a phone number.
Citizens should be wary of such letters and the claims made in them. Remember, never give out personal or financial information in any form unless you know the person or entity you are dealing with is authentic and trustworthy.
