Shooting Death

Flores

A local 19-year-old has been charged with murder and other crimes in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy that occurred Sunday, July 24. The Roswell Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance as investigators seek to locate Daniel Flores.

The investigation by RPD’s Criminal Investigations Division identified Flores as the person believed to be the shooter in the incident in which three males were shot shortly before 3 a.m. at a house in the 1400 block of East Tilden Street. Damyn Rodriguez, 15, died at the scene. The two other gunshot victims, ages 15 and 19, were transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Two teenage girls were also present with the victims during the incident, but were not injured despite multiple shots being fired inside and outside the residence.

An arrest warrant was issued Friday (July 29) for Flores, charging him with first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated assault. The investigation determined the shooting may be connected to Flores’ girlfriend recently breaking up with him.

Flores (pictured) is about 5’9” tall, weighs about 200 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information that could possibly help locate Daniel Flores is asked to call the Roswell Police Department at (575) 624-6770.
