City of Carlsbad issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
Mitzi Graham Is given special recognition for her service to the citizens of Carlsbad, after serving for 20 years with the City of Carlsbad Municipal Transit System.
Mitzi has occupied every role that transit has had to offer, including mechanic a few times. She began as a driver, was lead trainer for most of her tenure, and served as the Designated Employee Representative for the Drug and Alcohol Program for her department. She has watched the transit program grow and spent a huge role in molding the City of Carlsbad Municipal Transit System to what it is today. She was valued for her loyalty to her position and for being an absolute joy to work with.
Mitzi will be greatly missed by her co-workers and by members of the community. She’ll spend her retirement enjoying her beautiful new truck and visiting with her children and grandchildren. She loves doing word searches, sewing, and watching the T.V. show “Filthy Rich.”
NOW, THEREFORE, in special recognition I, Mayor Dale Janway, hereby proclaim Mitzi Graham to be an “Outstanding City of Carlsbad Employee” and urge all citizens to join me in honoring Mitzi Graham for her dedication and outstanding assistance to our community.
