Capitan Fire Fighters and Lincoln County Emergency Services personnel responded to a wildfire on the north side of the Capitan Mountains.  
Smoke is visible in a remote area of the Capitan Mountains, south of Pine Lodge Road (SR-246) mile marker 20…7 Cabins area.
The USFS has taken command.  Air assets are on scene and “Hotshots” have been dropped on this fire.  
This fire measures, at last report, 1 acre in size.  Cause is believed to be lightning.
