Last Thursday, March 2nd, several of our Elected Officials and Department Heads visited elementary schools throughout the community to read to students, as a celebration of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday and Read Across America Day!

Read Across America is a national celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday that promotes reading and adult involvement in the education of our community’s students.

Curry County looks forward to this day every year and are very appreciative of the partnership we have with the local schools!
