The Village of Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Lincoln County, and surrounding areas are expected to see very high amounts of precipitation beginning today for the next 48 hours or so. Please be aware of high-water levels, turn around do not drown! It only takes 6” of water to knock a person down and only 12” to cause impacts to vehicles. Please stay tuned to the Village of Ruidoso social media platform for updates and Emergency communications/notifications regarding this potential flood event. The Village has partnered with all surrounding jurisdictions and is prepared to respond in a manner to best protect life and property.
