A Dexter man who was convicted of trafficking drugs in Roswell following an investigation that included the Chaves County Metro Narcotics Task Force, of which RPD is a key part, was sentenced Oct. 12 in U.S. District Court to 23 years in prison. Richard Orlinski “Sugar” Sanchez, 44,  earlier pleaded guilty to numerous federal criminal counts related to the drug trafficking.
Multiple agencies worked together to investigate and arrest numerous defendants in this case. More details about the agencies involved, the people charged and the criminal activity are found in the full news release from the U.S. District Attorney’s Office
