Clovis High School excels at regional FCCLA conference; students advance to state level

Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students from Clovis High School recently took part in the FCCLA Regional Conference held at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales on December 11, 2024. The event saw notable participation from Clovis High School FCCLA, with 30 students qualifying for the upcoming FCCLA State Conference scheduled for February 26 to March 1 in Albuquerque, NM.

Among the competitors, Bailey Baldock participated in Career Investigation Level 3. Emily Bjorklund and Luisana Loya-Avila were involved in Chapter in Review Display Level 3. Annalise Watsoon also competed alongside other students.

Jasmyne Cadena and Sunnay Ward represented their school in Culinary Arts Level 3. Nya Karoki took part in Early Childhood Education Level 3. In Event Management Level 3, Joselyn Foggie, Kimberly Llamas Gallegos, and Somtochi Oparaiheoma-Anaele showcased their skills.

The Food Innovations Level 2 category included Aarav Bhakta and Isabel Sanchez. Jeremiah Landin and Joaquin Sanchez competed in Interpersonal Communications Level 3. Jasmine Montano and Aliyah Valverde were active participants in Promote and Publicize FCCLA! - Level 3.

Daniel Bwana joined forces with Jose Llamas Gallegos and Hailey Holmes for Repurpose and Redesign Level 2. Crystal Duarte, Addisyn Johnson, and Onavaya Sintas took part in Repurpose and Redesign Level 3.

Khylee Borjas, Jazelyn Quintana, and AnJulie Villagas represented Sports Nutrition Level 2. Kevin Lopez teamed up with Anthony Ivan Martinez and Jazelyn Quintana for Thematic Promotion Digital Level 2.

Karely Baeza collaborated with Andrea Chavez and Sophie Roberts for Thematic Promotion Traditional Level 3. Notably, Joaquin Sanchez serves as the Vice President of Finance for NM FCCLA while Bailey Baldock holds the position of Region II FCCLA President.

Amy Garcia is the adviser overseeing Clovis High's involvement with FCCLA.
