Clovis High School students excel at FCCLA National Leadership Conference

Clovis High School Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) represented their school and community at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) held at the Seattle Convention Center – Summit Building from June 29 to July 3, 2024. The event brought together more than 8,000 FCCLA student members, advisers, and guests.

The conference provided FCCLA members with an experience that included attending speaker sessions, engaging in youth workshops, competing nationally, and networking with fellow youth leaders. Centered around "The Ultimate Journey," the conference highlighted how FCCLA offers opportunities through Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education. By exploring career opportunities and instilling real-world skills, advocacy, and service, FCCLA aims to empower its members.

During the conference, FCCLA members participated in various events. Their achievements reflect their hard work and the guidance of their advisers.

The results are as follows:

Interpersonal Communication – Level 2 – Gold and 5th in the Nation – Joaquin Sanchez

Parliamentary Procedure – Level 3 – Silver – Oluomachi Anaele, Somtochi Anaele, Naya Yaa Hagan, Aidan Nunez, Priscila Ramirez, Daniel Zulueta

Professional Presentation – Level 3 – Silver – Sadie Mendoza and Apolline Rivera

Early Childhood – Level 3 – Bronze – Milagros Mercadal

Interpersonal Communication – Level 3 – Bronze – Cassandra Golden

Recycle and Repurpose – Level 2 – Bronze - Bailey Baldock and Annelise Watson

Recycle and Repurpose – Level 3 – Bronze – Roxana Castaneda and Geanna Lopez
