Celeste Chavez appointed head softball coach at Clovis High School

Celeste Chavez has been named the head softball coach at Clovis High School (CHS). Set to begin her first year as an Educator Fellow and her fourth year with the district, Chavez will lead the CHS Wildcat softball team.

Chavez was previously named an assistant coach for the 2023-2024 season. She began working with the district in 2021 as a long-term substitute. In 2022, she served as a physical education educational assistant and later transitioned to the role of behavior interventionist in 2023-2024. She held this position until her recent selection for the Educator Fellowship program.

Beyond her roles within Clovis Schools, Chavez has experience as a fast pitch official umpire and has volunteered with league and school teams since her youth. A graduate of Clovis High School and former Wildcat softball player, Chavez holds an associate's degree in physical education from Pratt Community College.
