Flag football program launched for K-5 students by Clovis Municipal Schools

Students in kindergarten through 5th grades are invited to join the district’s first offering from the new Elementary Youth Programs: Flag Football. This initiative aims to teach the fundamentals of football in a safe and engaging environment.

Registration is currently open online at https://cityofclovis.recdesk.com/Community/Program?category=9. Participation is limited to students attending Clovis Municipal Schools. A parent meeting is scheduled for July 22, from 6-7 p.m., in the Lecture Hall at Clovis High School. Practices will commence on August 21, with games starting on September 7, 2024.

Clovis Municipal Schools, in collaboration with the City of Clovis, has developed the Elementary Youth Programs to offer fun, healthy, and affordable athletics and activities for students outside of school hours. Additional opportunities will be announced throughout the school year.

To register your child:

1. Go to https://cityofclovis.recdesk.com/Community/Program?category=9

2. Create an account for yourself.

3. Add a household member for your child.

4. Select “Programs” at the top of the page.

5. Choose the Clovis Elementary Schools Tab.

6. Select your student’s grade level.

7. Click “register now” and select your child’s name from the “member” box.

8. Complete the registration by filling out the requested information in three prompts at the bottom of the page.
