Heather Woodard, a longtime Clovis Municipal Schools educator and administrator, has been selected for and accepted the position of Title IX Director.

Woodard has spent more than a decade of her career at Clovis Schools, most recently working as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) specializing in incident investigations, a role she took on in 2023.

Woodard was first hired in 2012 as a Special Education Liaison, a position she held until 2020 when she was selected to serve as Director of Special Education. Prior to joining Clovis Schools, Woodard worked as an Affective Needs Special Education Teacher for Harrison School District in Colorado Springs.

A New Mexico State and Eastern New Mexico University alumna, Woodard possesses dual master's degrees in education administration and criminal justice, bolstered by two bachelor's degrees from NMSU in criminal justice and psychology.

Woodard will assume her role as Title IX Director in July to allow preparation for the coming school year. This position was created to meet federal requirements.
