The scholarship, which offers $5,000 each to one male and one female student, is aimed at supporting students who plan to enroll in a higher education or trade program related to healthcare.

According to a statement from the school district, applications for the scholarship can be obtained from the Guidance Office at Clovis High School. Interested students are reminded that completed applications must be submitted by April 30, 2024, in order to be considered for the award.

"We are excited to offer the Orisek-Mitchell Scholarship to our students who are passionate about pursuing a career in the medical field after graduation," said a spokesperson from Clovis Municipal Schools.
