Yucca Middle School in Clovis, New Mexico, experienced a brief security concern on Monday, April 15, 2024, leading to the implementation of Secure & Teach protocol. Following an investigation, the school has been given the all-clear.

"Regular activity is ongoing as scheduled."

"During Secure & Teach, all entrances and exits are secured and instruction continues as scheduled."

The security issue prompted school administrators and law enforcement to take action by initiating the Secure & Teach procedure, which involves securing all entry and exit points while maintaining normal instructional activities. Fortunately, after thorough investigation, the reported security concern was deemed not credible, allowing for the resumption of regular school operations.

Parents and guardians can find more information on school safety procedures by visiting the Clovis Municipal Schools website at https://www.clovis-schools.org/page/safety. The swift response and resolution of the security matter demonstrate the importance placed on ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff at Yucca Middle School.
