In a recent incident at the GC Ross Administration Building, an inadvertent alert caused a false alarm during security training, leading to a preliminary security response.

According to district officials, "District security staff immediately issued an alert indicating the notification was a false alarm, reversing the alert status." This quick action helped rectify the situation promptly.

It was revealed that Clovis Municipal Schools regularly conduct security training sessions with their staff to ensure preparedness for emergencies. A spokesperson for the school stated, "Clovis Municipal Schools conducts regular security training with staff to ensure proficiency in the event of an emergency. The events of Friday afternoon were the result of an unfortunate error. Efforts are being made to prevent similar issues in the future."

As part of their commitment to enhancing school safety, the district is taking steps to address the incident and prevent such errors from occurring again.
