6.6 percent of New Mexico Junior College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 6.6 percent of New Mexico Junior College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

New Mexico Junior College has a total student body of 2,247 students, of which 66 percent are women and 34 percent are men. Of these students, 79 men and 69 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at New Mexico Junior College with the most participants are all track combined (51), baseball (43) and basketball (29).
