60 percent of applicants to Eastern New Mexico University-Main Campus were admitted for fall 2018

At Eastern New Mexico University-Main Campus, 71 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Portales enrolled 6,005 students in fall 2018, including 4,700 in undergraduate and 1,305 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

73 percent of undergraduates are residents of New Mexico, and 25 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (37 percent) and white (37 percent).

The school admitted 60 percent of the 2,645 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
