In October, Jack Chatfield, current representative for House District 67, announced on his Facebook page that he is seeking re-election to the New Mexico House of Representatives.

He currently serves on multiple committees, including the House Appropriations and Finance Committee, and the House Education Committee.

“As a first-term legislator I have quickly come to appreciate the responsibility of this position," he said in the post. "I know directly how the laws that are created in Santa Fe impact the people of this community, laws by progressive special interest groups that I believe are making it harder for New Mexican families to thrive. I am more determined than ever to fight for the policies that will lead to better schools, more job opportunities and safer communities. I look forward to you joining me in my effort to improve the lives of all New Mexicans and ask for your continued support next November.”

House District 67 covers Colfax, Curry, Harding, Quay, Roosevelt, San Miguel and Union counties.
