Breaking News: Roswell Police Investigating a shooting Homicide.

Shortly before 8am Monday morning, Roswell Police responded to the 1400 block of West 2nd (Monterey Shopping Center) in reference to a deceased subject.

The caller stated that that a male subject was deceased. Officers arrived quickly and were seen detaining a female subject and placing her in handcuffs.

Medics arrived and confirmed the victim is deceased.

RPD and New Mexico State Police have declared a crime scene inside the KB Glass and Window store i (suite O) inside the Monterey Shopping Center, and are awaiting arrival of crime scene techs and detectives to begin their investigation.

“RPD is investigating a shooting homicide that occurred this morning at KB Glass and Windows in Monterey Plaza in the 1400 block of West Second Street. Police were called to the scene at 8 a.m. The adult female suspect was taken into custody at the scene. The victim is an adult male. More information will be released when it is appropriate as the investigation continues” said RPD Spokesperson Todd Wildermuth
