The Roswell Police Department and Roswell Fire Department are set to host the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5. The event will take place at the Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center from 6 to 8 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with law enforcement, fire, and medical agencies. Vehicles and equipment from these agencies will be on display for visitors to explore while engaging with emergency responders.
The outdoor pool at the center will be open to the public free of charge starting at 6:15 p.m., though it can accommodate only up to 200 people at a time.
The event will also feature food, games, and raffles for participants.
National Night Out started in 1984 as an initiative to foster relationships between communities and their local police, fire, and medical emergency responders. It aims to raise awareness about crime prevention. This event is part of a larger movement where thousands of communities across all U.S. states, territories, and Canada participate annually. Typically held on the first Tuesday in August, some locations may choose different dates for their events.
