Shortly before 2:45pm Monday, Callers stated that a truck had struck a ATV with a juvenile rider, who had serious bleeding from his face and head.
Medics quickly arrived and assessed the patient and determined him to be a level 1 trauma. They quickly loaded the patient into the ambulance, which emergently transported him to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
The intersection of Poe and Lea will be closed for atleast the next hour.
