From March 22, 2023 post.

UPDATE: As of 3pm 3/21/23 the park is now closed due to snowdrifts blocking the road.

Spring break conditions at Mesa Verde this week are, well, not ideal. Although there still may be good views to be had, visibility is variable. Here are a few pictures of cliff dwelling views from today as well as road conditions this afternoon.

It may be spring on the calendar but it sure doesn’t feel like it today. We are ready for warmer weather!

Images: 1) A sign reads “Cliff Palace View” with a view of fog behind it. 2) Falling snow obscures a view of New Fire House. 3) A driver’s view of a snow-covered road with minimal visibility.
