Main Street Has Been Reopened to Traffic

UPDATE: Sunday, Sept. 20,  9:15 a.m.
Main Street has been reopened to traffic.
RPD and RFD responded to a fatal two-car accident that occurred Sunday (Sept. 18) on North Main Street near Linda Vista Boulevard just before 2:30 a.m.
There were two people in one vehicle and one person in the other. All were deceased on scene. They are two men, ages 32 and 27, and a 29-year-old woman. One car is a Lexus and the other is a Dodge Challenger. Both cars caught fire. The investigation is ongoing.
Both directions of North Main between Linda Vista and Vista Parkway will be closed while the on-scene investigation takes place and cleanup eventually occurs.
