The public’s help is sought as the Roswell Police Department works to identify and locate the person who fatally shot a local man last week.
Emergency responders found Robert Smiley, 36, deceased inside a travel trailer on a residential property in the 600 block of South Missouri Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Friday (Aug. 19). He had at least one gunshot wound.
RPD’s Criminal Investigations Division believes the suspect in this case may be the person seen in surveillance video that shows the area where the shooting took place. The person seen in the surveillance footage (see still photos in this post) was wearing khaki shorts, a backwards ball cap, a light-colored facemask with a skull on it, and a black shoulder sling bag.
Anyone with potential information regarding this case is asked to call the Roswell Police Department at (575) 624-6770.
