Lane Closures

0Comments

Motorists traveling on Main Street between College Boulevard and McGaffey Street will experience some lane closures beginning Wednesday, Nov. 2, but traffic will continue to flow through this work zone during an estimated five-week pavement-maintenance project.

The project will be done in three segments: College Boulevard to Sixth Street, Sixth Street to Alameda Street, and Alameda Street to McGaffey Street. Work will be performed on northbound and southbound lanes, to include turning lanes, during each segment.

As traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction while the work takes place in each segment, the speed limit will be reduced. Motorists are asked to slow down and use extra caution in the work zone. Access will be maintained to businesses along Main Street and side streets during the project.

Once the asphalt renovations are completed in the entire length of the project, the street will be restriped for traffic lanes, turning lanes, crosswalks, etc.
