At approximately 0947 this morning, dispatch was notified by the Roswell Air Center of a small engine plane requesting to make an emergency landing on highway 285 North mile marker 151. Deputies were dispatched to the area and began shutting down all traffic to allow for the aircraft to land. The single engine aircraft did land safely and all occupants are safe. There is what appears to be some type of damage to one of the wings. The FAA has been notified and is enroute to the location. Traffic has been opened back up to two lanes and deputies remain on scene awaiting FAA.
