Curry County issued the following announcement on April 2.

Curry County will be participating in the high school summer internship program again this year! We are looking for current 16-18 year old residents of Curry County who would be interested in a paid 8-week internship with professional business entities within our community. The goal of this program is to provide high school students with the opportunity to participate in high-quality internships (19.75 hours per week for 8 weeks) in government agencies, including county and/or municipal placements, and businesses. Pay for students will be $12.00 an hour!
