Clovis Municipal Schools Athletics Department has announced a partnership with Manual Medicine Rehabilitation & Research (MMR&R) to provide health and wellness support for student-athletes and faculty. Dr. Alexjandro Daviano, a Manual Osteopath/Naprapathic Physician and Paramedic, will lead the services.
The partnership will offer on-site evaluation and care during athletic events, including emergency medical support. Additionally, students will have access to two weekly clinic sessions at the school for consultations and light treatments such as manual therapy, ultrasound, laser therapy, concussion evaluations, posture and balance testing, and hands-on rehabilitation. Services are provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Athletes will also receive taping, manipulation, and rehabilitation guidance aimed at helping them return to play more quickly. When further care is necessary, students can be referred to MMR&R’s main clinic at 811 Lexington Rd., Clovis, NM. The clinic offers X-rays, lab testing, comprehensive baseline exams, advanced rehabilitation options like laser therapy and neuro rehab, as well as personalized nutrition programs. Student-athletes are eligible for a 15% discount on all services at the main clinic.
All services provided at the CHS Clinic site are free for student-athletes through district coverage.
According to the release: “This partnership ensures Clovis Municipal Schools athletes have access to non-drug, non-surgical care that supports faster recovery, reduces missed school and practice time, and optimizes long-term health and performance.”
