Clovis Municipal Schools (CMS) has announced the continuation and expansion of its partnership with Professional Therapy Partners (PTP), which operates the Physical Therapy Center in Clovis. The collaboration, which began in January 2025, aims to provide athletic training services for student-athletes within the district.
As part of this initiative, CMS introduced baseline and post-injury concussion testing in August 2025. This testing covers all student-athletes, including band color guard members. PTP athletic trainers are scheduled to provide support at every home and away varsity football game throughout the fall season.
A significant addition to the partnership is the launch of a telehealth athletic training service called AT Clinic Now. Beginning in October 2025, CMS will serve as the pilot site for this program. Alicia Holen, MS, ATC, CSCS, an experienced athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist based in Montana, will dedicate 20 hours per week to supporting CMS athletes remotely. Using the WaveOn Health platform, Holen will be available through secure chat, live video sessions, and phone consultations. She will also prescribe rehabilitation exercises from a digital library containing over 4,800 routines.
PTP is currently conducting a nationwide search for a full-time athletic trainer who will work on campus alongside Holen.
“I’m excited to grow our partnership with the Wildcats in new and creative ways,” said Joe Friedrich, MA, ATC, CSCS,*D, PTP Athletic Trainer and Director of Business Development & Outreach. “The AT Clinic Now pilot program at Clovis is being studied by groups around the country who could benefit from a similar care model.”
Professional Therapy Partners continues its commitment to supporting students and families across Clovis through these health initiatives.
