Clovis Municipal Schools announced on April 27 that Mindy Sena has been appointed as the district’s Title IX Director, effective immediately.
The appointment is significant for the district’s efforts to ensure compliance with federal Title IX regulations and to support equitable learning environments. The role focuses on addressing concerns related to discrimination and harassment among students, staff, and families.
Sena brings experience in student services, counseling, and investigative practices. She currently serves as the district’s Incident Investigator, handling reviews of concerns involving harassment, bullying, and Title IX matters. In this capacity she “has conducted interviews, gathered and analyzed evidence, maintained detailed case documentation, and prepared formal reports with findings and recommendations.” Her work supports “fair, thorough, and timely resolutions aligned with district policy and legal requirements.”
Her background includes serving as a school counselor at both high school and middle school levels where she supported academic planning and mental health initiatives. She also has experience as a forensic interviewer, licensed clinical social worker, educator, holds a Master of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University along with multiple professional licenses.
As Title IX Director Sena will oversee efforts to ensure compliance with federal regulations while fostering safe environments for students across campuses.
