The Air Force Junior ROTC program at Clovis High School has received the highest possible rating of “Exceeds Standards” in its recent Unit Assessment held on January 16, 2026.
According to a statement from the school, Clovis cadets demonstrated notable performance and pride as they worked toward their unit’s objectives. The achievement was attributed to the leadership provided by Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Lester A. Ball and Senior Master Sergeant (Ret) Michel R. Kilcullen. Evaluators noted the strength of cadet leadership, participation, and engagement with the community during the assessment.
“The AFJROTC program at Clovis continues to make a lasting impact on students and the surrounding community, fostering leadership, character, and a sense of purpose among its cadets,” read the statement.
This recognition highlights ongoing efforts within Clovis High School’s AFJROTC program to promote leadership skills and service among students.
