Capitan, NM School Lockdown Update

0Comments

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office put a brief “lockdown” order into the Capitan School system this afternoon while we investigated an  active incident involving shots fired that did not occur on or near the campus.  As it turns out, no one at the school was in danger.  This order was put in place as a precautionary measure in an effort to always keep our kiddos and school staff safe.  I will issue a more detailed information release tomorrow and again, NO ONE is in danger as a result of this incident.
