Aimee Hilburn has been named the new head girls basketball coach at Clovis High School, according to an announcement from Clovis Municipal Schools. Hilburn, a graduate of Clovis High School and former Lady Wildcat, returns to lead the program where she was once a standout player.
Hilburn played on the Lady Wildcats team that won the New Mexico state championship in 2005. She continued her basketball career at Texas State University as a Division I student-athlete from 2006 to 2010. Since 2022, Hilburn has served as assistant varsity girls basketball coach at Clovis High School and is also a teacher within the district. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University.
In addition to her coaching and teaching roles, Hilburn volunteers with the Clovis Youth Soccer Association and participates in local animal fostering efforts.
“On the court, we learn teamwork. At home, we learn love. In the community, we find purpose. Basketball isn’t just a game — it’s a bond that unites hearts, families, and neighborhoods,” said Coach Hilburn.
Clovis Municipal Schools stated that Hilburn aims to build a competitive program that reflects the values and pride of Clovis High School.
