Today 2 subjects used a weapon to steal a vehicle at gunpoint and committed a aggravated Assault in Roswell. The Roswell Police and Chaves County Sheriff’s Office began pursuing the stolen vehicle Eastbound on 380 East. The State Police and Lea County joined the pursuit near Tatum. Stop sticks were deployed and the vehicle was eventually stopped inside of Tatum where it flipped on its side. Anyone traveling East of Roswell into Texas is asked to use caution while traveling through Tatum due to the heavy first responder presence in the roadway. Detours have been set up in Tatum for the time being.
